Altamonte Baseball Club Members

I would like to congratulate all my All Star Teams for a great weekend of Baseball!  For those of you who were not able to make it out to see some of the games I will give you a brief breakdown for now.

9 Under team played in Sanford finishing with a 1-2 record. Longwood won the District in this division.

Congratulations Players and Coaches Joe Karr, Roger Peden, and Kevin Shriver

10 Under team played in Longwood and have a great run with a 2-2 record.  The finals in that division has not been declared they have to play another championship game because Longwood went in undefeated and Winter springs beat them in the first game. So they play tonight at 6:00. Congratulations players and Coaches Randy McDonald, Tom Shanahan, and Dan Rich

11 Under team played at Winter Springs and went undefeated to the Championship game against Winter Springs which was definitely an inning by inning game. It was tied 8 to 8 in the 6th inning and Jay Hayes hit a homerun to advance Altamonte 9-8.  They will represent Altamonte in the State Tournament in Ft .Lauderdale. Congratulations Players and Coaches Brent Lee, Errol Bannister, and Jay Hicks. 

12 Under team played at Winter Springs as well and went undefeated to the Championship game against Oviedo. This team played amazing all weekend. Don't hold me to it but at last count they had hit a total of 20 home runs in 3 games. They finished the game with a 9 -2 win and will represent Altamonte in the State Tournament July 10-13 which will be held in Tavares.  So please go out and cheer this team on.

Congratulations Players and Coaches Rick Bennett, Kevin Sanders, and George Feltner.

13 Under team played in Longwood and also went undefeated to the Championship game against Longwood.They did a great job of only allowing 5 runs the entire tournament. These boys will go to Jupiter July 17-20 to represent Altamonte in the State Tournament. Congratulations Players and Coaches Marc Blum, Mike Boydston, and Fred Labrador.

15 Under team played in Longwood as well. They met Longwood in the Championship game and won 2nd in Districts. Congratulation Players and Coaches Seth Reece and Mark Owens

Congratulations to you all, you have definitely represented me and the City of Altamonte Springs with great sportsmanship and dedication.

And a Big Thank you to all the Team Moms for their dedication and commitments to the team.
